Description
This ride will take you through vineyards, Cape fynbos and forest areas. we get great views of Table Mountain, Paarl Mountain, Du Toitskloof as well as Simonsberg. We ride on Joostenberg Wine Estate which is an organic farm and there is opportunity to see lots of birdlife, including Jackal Buzzards, Red Bishops and South-Africa’s national bird, the Blue Crane.
Itinerary
We will spend a few minutes in the training arena, getting to know our horses and novice riders will get a quick lesson, learning to stop, go and turn.
When everyone is comfortable, we set off onto our nursery farm, where you can expect to see lots of bird species, including Jackal Buzzards, African Spoonbills, and Red Bishops and the occasional Duiker or Steenbok (small antelope).
We also have a dam where experienced riders can take their horses for a swim. Then we cross over to our neighbour's farm, where we ride in the vineyards, with amazing views.
Our horses are well trained, and not your usual trail horses who do the same route every day. Your guide is a local, and very knowledgeable about both the local area, and natural horsemanship.
We do not mix different groups, so you will have a guide to yourselves, ensuring that everyone gets the ride they want, be that a gentle meander through the vineyards, or a fast paced canter down a farm track.

Really enjoyed my ride here! Horses were very well trained, the views are beautiful and the guide Louise was awesome! Will definitely be returning
Wonderful experience. I took my grandkids. Louise gave them an educational class on horses and allowed them to clean and brush one of the horses. 😊
Fantastic place! The horses are very kind and well-behaved, and they are not like your average “tour-horse”, they are much better! 5 stars to Louise and the sweet horses!!
